Job summary

Cundall is seeking sustainability graduates to join its team and work on award-winning projects globally. You will develop energy modelling skills and contribute to energy and sustainability strategies for new and existing buildings.

You’ll grow under supervision, with opportunities to progress toward Chartership and benefit from a strong training programme and diverse project exposure.

Qualifications

• On target to achieve at least a 2:2 degree.
• Desirable if accredited with or on course to achieve a BEng/MEng degree level in Sustainable Engineering or the Built Environment (or equivalent).
• Knowledge and experience of building physics: heat transfer, energy, thermal comfort and natural ventilation.
• Experience with climate-based daylighting analysis, TM54 calculations, sustainability tools such as BREEAM and life cycle costing.
• Understanding of Parametric Modelling Techniques (Grasshopper or Dynamo), or at least one modern programming language (e.g. Python, C#, VB).
• Organised and methodical in task management with deadlines.
• Collaborative with clients and stakeholders; strong written and verbal communication with initiative.

Responsibilities

• Assist with energy modelling and develop energy and sustainability strategies for new builds and existing buildings.
• Work on streams including building physics, energy optimisation, certification and compliance, health and wellbeing, net zero and whole life carbon, and ESG services.
• Progress toward Chartership through accredited training schemes with supervision and guidance.
• Develop and apply knowledge under the guidance of the team on UK and global projects.
