Cundall's Sustainability & Building Physics team is seeking graduates to join in September 2027 to work on innovative, award-winning projects worldwide. You will develop energy modelling skills, support energy and sustainability strategies, and progress toward Chartership within accredited schemes.

Join a team leading in sustainable design for buildings, with projects including international offices and high-profile developments.

Formación

• On target to achieve at least a 2:2 degree.
• Desirable if accredited with or on course to achieve a BEng/MEng degree in Sustainable Engineering or Built Environment.
• Knowledge of building physics, heat transfer, energy and ventilation.
• Familiar with daylighting analysis and TM54 energy calculations.
• Experience with climate-based design tools such as BREEAM.
• Understanding of parametric modelling techniques (Grasshopper or Dynamo) or programming language (Python/C#).
• Organised, methodical, and able to meet deadlines.
• Collaborative with strong written and verbal communication.

Join our Sustainability Team and you can be involved in innovative and award-winning projects – past projects have included the prized Hong Kong Science Park, Australia's first 6 star Green Star community, and the largest bio-medical precinct in the Southern Hemisphere.

Responsibilities

This is an excellent opportunity for talented sustainability graduates to join our teams to work on some of the most exciting sustainable design projects in UK and around the world.

Working under the guidance and supervision of the experienced team, you'll develop your existing knowledge and skills in energy modelling and assist with the development of energy and sustainability strategies for new build and existing buildings. You will find yourself working on projects that fall within the following workstreams:

• Building physics and parametric model services
• Building performance and operational energy optimisation
• Certification and compliance
• Health and wellbeing advice and guidance
• Net zero and whole life carbon services
• Sustainability design and ESG services

With the opportunity to assume greater levels of responsibility and autonomy as your professional skills develop over time, you'll be supported and encouraged to work towards Chartership through one of our accredited training schemes.

Qualifications

• On target to achieve at least a 2:2 degree.
• Desirable if accredited with or on course to achieve a BEng/MEng degree level in Sustainable Engineering or the Built Environment (or equivalent).
• You have demonstrable knowledge and experience of building physics, particularly in relation to heat transfer, energy, thermal comfort and natural ventilation.
• A working knowledge of climate-based daylighting analysis, operational energy calculation using TM54, sustainability rating tools such as BREEAM and life cycle carbon costing would also be really beneficial.
• Digital engineering is a big focus at Cundall, so ideally, you'll have an understanding of Parametric ModellingTechniques(Grasshopper or Dynamo), or at least one modern programming language (e.g. Python, C#, VB).
• You are organised and methodical in your approach to managing your tasks and priorities, striving to meet deadlines.
• Collaborative in nature, you'll be able to empathise with your clients' needs and utilise excellent communication skills, both in writing and verbally, with internal and external stakeholders. You're used to using your initiative to overcome challenges and have a positive, can-do attitude.
