Job summary

Knight Frank, the UK’s leading property consultancy, seeks a Graduate Building Surveyor to join our Building Consultancy team in London. You’ll work alongside experienced Chartered Surveyors across a diverse range of commercial property instructions, gaining hands-on experience from day one and developing your technical knowledge while delivering high-quality client service.

You’ll assist with project management, dilapidations advice, landlord and tenant matters, and pre-acquisition surveys,

About The Role

Are you looking to build your career with one of the UK’s leading property consultancies?

We’re seeking a Graduate Building Surveyor to join our established Building Consultancy team, working alongside experienced Chartered Surveyors across a diverse range of commercial property instructions. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience from day one, develop your technical knowledge, and work directly with clients across a wide variety of projects and sectors.

You’ll work on live instructions across office, industrial, retail, healthcare, leisure and PRS assets, gaining exposure to both project and professional work while receiving structured support towards your APC and MRICS qualification.

The Role

As a Graduate Building Surveyor, you’ll assist with and undertake a broad range of building surveying instructions, including:

• Project management and contract administration
• Dilapidations advice and negotiations
• Landlord and tenant matters
• Pre-acquisition surveys
• Technical due diligence
• Schedules of Condition
• Defect analysis and building pathology
• Reinstatement Cost Assessments
• Preparation of specifications and technical reports
• Supporting party wall instructions
• Client liaison and stakeholder management

You’ll have the opportunity to develop strong client relationships, build your professional network and take increasing responsibility as your experience grows.

What We’re Looking For

• Degree qualified in Building Surveying or a related discipline
• Ambition to become MRICS qualified
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Commercial awareness and a proactive approach
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Professional and client-focused mindset
• Team player with a collaborative attitude
• Experience with AutoCAD, Microsoft Project and NBS Specification Writer would be advantageous but is not essential.
