Job summary

Pertemps Tm is seeking a Graduate Structural Engineer to kick start your career in a specialist, design-led consultancy. You will be involved from concept through to detailed design and construction, working on high-end residential, commercial and cultural projects.

You will gain exposure to materials such as steel, concrete, timber, CLT and structural glass, developing 3D models and working with architects and other design professionals. Training and chartership support are provided.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering with 2:1 or higher.
• Strong understanding of core structural engineering principles.
• Interest in architecture, design and innovative engineering.

Responsibilities

• Assist with structural design across building and specialist projects.
• Produce structural calculations, technical reports and design documentation.
• Work with steel, concrete, timber and glass materials.
• Develop innovative and bespoke structural solutions.
• Assist with structural analysis and engineering assessments.
• Develop 3D models and explore complex geometries.
• Collaborate with architects, façade engineers and contractors.
• Support refurbishment and structural interventions in existing buildings.
• Learn Eurocodes, British Standards and UK Building Regulations.
• Contribute to projects from concept through to construction.
