A multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy in Hemel Hempstead is seeking a Graduate Structural Engineer to join their supportive team. Overview

An opportunity has arisen for a Graduate Structural Engineer to join a trusted, multi-disciplinary engineering and surveying consultancy with a proud history of delivering intelligent design solutions. They are looking for a driven Graduate Structural Engineer with at least two years of experience to join their growing team in Hemel Hempstead. This is a fantastic opportunity to accelerate your development within a collaborative, forward-thinking consultancy.

You’ll be part of a supportive and experienced structural engineering team, working on a wide variety of projects across residential, educational, commercial, and industrial sectors. From day one, you’ll be involved in the full project lifecycle—from concept design through to construction—gaining hands-on experience, client exposure, and structured mentoring as you work towards Chartership. You’ll collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and other professionals to create elegant, practical, and sustainable design solutions.

You’ll be a passionate and proactive graduate with a minimum of two years\' industry experience, eager to develop technical skills, take on increasing responsibility, and contribute to a diverse portfolio of projects.

What You Need To Succeed
  • At least two years’ experience in a UK structural engineering consultancy.
  • Working knowledge of design software such as Tekla, Tedds, and AutoCAD.
  • A good understanding of structural design codes and construction methods.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to manage tasks independently while contributing to larger project teams.
  • A problem-solving attitude with attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
  • Desire and commitment to work towards Chartership with ICE or IStructE.
  • MEng or BEng in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
