Job summary

KPI Education is working with a Wolverhampton secondary school to recruit a Graduate STEM Teaching Assistant. If you have a STEM degree and want to start a career in education, this role offers hands-on classroom experience, supporting teachers and helping students build confidence in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths.

You’ll work with 1:1 or small groups, explain concepts clearly, and develop practical STEM activities.

Qualifications

A STEM-related degree such as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, Computer Science or a similar discipline.
Ideally, a 2:1 degree or above.
Strong subject knowledge and the ability to explain ideas clearly.

Responsibilities

Provide additional academic support to students, helping them work through difficult STEM concepts.
Deliver 1:1 or small-group learning support within the classroom.
Encourage problem-solving, independent thinking and effective learning habits.
Assist teachers with classroom activities and differentiated learning tasks.
Support practical activities and promote engagement with STEM.
Develop students' confidence, curiosity and motivation.
Provide additional explanations and guidance where needed.
Collaborate with teachers and other support staff.
Share observations and feedback about student progress.
