Graduate STEM Teaching Assistant
Full-Time | Term-Time Only | Start ASAP or September 2025 | Secondary School

Are you a recent graduate with a background in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Maths and a passion for education?

Do you want to make a real difference in the classroom while gaining experience that will support a future career in teaching or educational support?

Perhaps you're exploring a career in teaching and want to build hands-on experience supporting pupils in key academic subjects?

A high-performing secondary school on the Wirral is looking to appoint a Graduate STEM Teaching Assistant to join their team from ASAP or September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated graduate to support student learning across the STEM subjects and gain valuable experience in a dynamic school environment.

Key Details: Graduate STEM Teaching Assistant

  • Full-time role: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm
  • Weekly pay: Up to £565 per week
  • Term-time only contract
  • Start date: Immediate or September 2025
  • Work closely with students across KS3 and KS4 in STEM subjects (Maths, Science, Computing, etc.)
  • Deliver focused 1:1 and small group support to boost attainment and engagement

Candidate Requirements: Graduate STEM Teaching Assistant

  • A 2:1 degree or above in a STEM-related field (Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, Computer Science, etc.)
  • Passion for working with young people and supporting learning
  • Previous experience working with children or young people is a bonus but not essential
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and organisational skills
  • A proactive, enthusiastic, and patient approach
