Graduate STEM Teaching Assistant – Manchester Secondary School – £480–£550 per week

Do you have a 2:1 or higher degree in a STEM subject such as Maths, Science, Engineering, or Technology? Are you passionate about supporting young people in education and exploring a future career in teaching? Would you like to gain hands-on classroom experience as a Graduate STEM Teaching Assistant in a thriving Manchester secondary school?

This welcoming and ambitious Manchester secondary school is seeking a Graduate STEM Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to provide targeted academic support while developing essential classroom experience before pursuing teacher training or further study.

Responsibilities
  • Work with pupils aged 11–16 across STEM subjects, including Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and Computing
  • Deliver tailored 1:1 and small-group support to raise attainment and boost confidence
  • Assist teachers in adapting lessons to support learners of all abilities
  • Provide classroom-based support while also working with pupils outside of lessons on interventions
  • Act as a role model for students with aspirations to succeed in STEM pathways

This role is particularly suited to STEM graduates who are considering careers in teaching, tutoring, education, or academic mentoring.
