Job summary

Royal Hospital School in Ipswich is seeking a Graduate Sports Assistant (Hockey) to join the Sports Department on a fixed-term basis until 3 July 2027. You will coach hockey across ages, support training and fixtures, and help inspire pupils to enjoy sport.

The role also contributes to other sports and the school’s fitness suite in the evenings. Applicants should have a strong hockey background and coaching experience and be ready to contribute to RHS’s ambitious sporting programme within this

The Royal Hospital School is seeking a passionate, energetic and suitably experienced Graduate Sports Assistant (Hockey) to join our thriving Sports Department as soon as possible.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong hockey background and coaching experience to play an active role in delivering our ambitious and inclusive sports programme.

You will coach hockey across a range of ages and abilities, support training sessions and competitive fixtures, and help inspire pupils to develop their skills, confidence and enjoyment of sport. They will also contribute to the wider sporting programme, including tennis, athletics and cricket during the Summer Term.

The role includes supporting the school's fitness suite for two evenings each week and offers valuable experience within a busy and supportive independent school environment.

We are looking for a positive, motivated and committed individual who is passionate about hockey, enjoys working with young people and is keen to make a meaningful contribution to sporting life at RHS.
