Job summary

Motorola Solutions UK Limited in Glasgow is seeking a Jr Software Developer to help build our Pronto mobile police apps. You’ll train and work within an agile team, with exposure to the full software life cycle from requirements capture through design, implementation and testing.

This graduate role requires a 2:1 degree in Computing Science or Software Engineering and some Java experience; you will be mentored by a skilled team.

Qualifications

• 3 years UK residency is required for security check.
• Minimum 2:1 degree in Computing Science or Software Engineering (or equivalent).
• Some experience with Java; strong understanding of programming concepts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Write Java and XSLT; use in-house tools to produce Android applications.
• Participate in full software development lifecycle from requirements to testing.
• Work within an agile team with sprint planning, daily scrums and reviews.
