Job summary

Advanced Technical Recruitment is recruiting for a manufacturer in Andover seeking a Software Engineer to develop Windows applications and data acquisition software for next-generation instrumentation. The graduate will work on control software for programmable controllers such as Raspberry Pi or Arduino.

You will join the Engineering Team to deliver NPD projects on time and to budget, collaborating with marketing, sales and production while ensuring CE marking as part of regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree level (or higher) in Computer Science or equivalent experience in product development.
• Experience with OO programming in C++ and/or C#; Microsoft Visual Studio; Windows GUI applications.
• Ability to troubleshoot and fix software bugs in electro-mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop Windows applications software for control and data acquisition in new instrumentation.
• Write software for new products and ensure NPD projects are delivered on-time and to budget.
• Collaborate with marketing, sales and production to provide software-related support and ensure regulatory compliance (CE).

Job description

Now is an exciting time to join the product development team with a manufacturer of innovative test instrumentation in Andover, as their Software Engineer.

We are looking for a graduate of Software / Computer sciences who enjoys working with raspberry Pi, Arduino or similar programmable controllers, to develop software to control / operate the new instrumentation.

Joining the Engineering Team, your main duties will be writing code to develop the Windows applications software, including control and data acquisition for the next generation products.

Writing software for new products, you will ensure your NPD projects are delivered on-time and to budget.

Working closely with the marketing, sales, and production teams you will provide support on software related and technical matters for existing products.

You should ensure that all products meet essential regulatory requirement for the territories they are sold to (e.g. CE marking).

Qualifications:

We are looking for an individual who is educated to Degree level (or higher) in Computer Science or similar discipline or equivalent experience in product development.

Experience:

Engineering project exposure should include experience in software to make things move or sense something physical, for example programmable controller such as raspberry Pi, Arduino or similar.

Experience in Object Orientated programming in C++ and/or C#; Microsoft Visual Studio; Windows GUI applications are required.

An ability to troubleshoot and fix software bugs electro-mechanical systems is also required.
