Role Overview
Join our influential Smart Energy and Sustainability Division, shaping decarbonisation and a net-zero future for clients ranging from local authorities to universities.
We seek graduates passionate about sustainability, focusing on:
- Net-zero carbon studies at project and master planning levels
- Planning application support including energy strategies and environmental assessments
- Climate change studies
- Life-Cycle Carbon and Cost Analyses (LCCA)
- Renewable energy development
- Electrical generation, storage, and distribution
What you will learn with us
- Carbon verification, validation, and auditing
- Supporting project delivery alongside senior team members
- Developing sustainability targets and reviewing project documentation
- Communicating sustainability requirements
- Preparing reports and supporting planning applications
- Managing workload to meet deadlines
- Reviewing project performance and updating trackers
- Engaging with networks and attending meetings
- Completing relevant training for carbon consultancy
- Assisting with proposals and tenders to develop commercial awareness
What you will need to succeed?
- A relevant degree, BEng (Hons), BSc (Hons), or equivalent/higher
- Humility, self-motivation, enthusiasm
- Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills
- Understanding of the construction industry and built environment
- Ability to commute regularly to the office
Additional attributes:
- Fluency in additional languages and English
- Full UK Driving Licence
Academic knowledge in:
- Environmental design, science, or sustainability disciplines
- Building industry, sustainability, or material science
- Electrical design, micro-grids, DNO engagement
- Planning, environmental impact assessments, legislation
- Environmental technical disciplines
