What is the overall job?

Based in Head Office and reporting to the Project Engineer, the Graduate Site Engineer will aid in design, manage and monitor Temporary works as well as Erections and Dismantles of Tower Cranes and Hoists and provide technical/quality guidance. Other key responsibilities will include:

  • Review and/or Produce Tower Crane and hoist scheme drawings.
  • Checks and tracks information for completeness and correctness following up with RFI's when and where required
  • Monitors changes to engineering and temporary works design whilst being mindful of budgetary requirements.
  • Complies with the company's management system policies and procedures.
  • Ensures quality assurance processes and standards established in policies and procedures are adhered to, maintaining relevant documentation and records
  • Inspects the work of sub-contractors for technical compliance, dimensional accuracy and quality of work.
  • Ensures engineering support requested is provided to the Plant and Equipment Team.
  • Manages and resolves engineering issues as and when requested by others

What do I need to be successful in this role?

This person will have experience Managing, Coordinating or Designing Temporary Works, specifically related to Cranes and/or Hoists. Further key skills include:

  • Navisworks
  • Knowledge of relevant standards and codes of practice for temporary works, cranes and hoists
  • Ability to work to deadlines and conflicting priorities
  • Ability to learn and apply new procedures quickly and efficiently
  • Accuracy and good eye for detail,
