Job summary

M Group is seeking a Graduate SI Engineer in the UK to join their structured development programme. You will work on SI projects, potentially leading small teams, and develop through hands-on experience in control systems engineering.

The role focuses on designing, configuring PLC/SCADA systems, testing, commissioning, and working toward professional membership and Chartered status within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Control Systems Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
  • Highly motivated with strong communication skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Willingness to learn and drive licence.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in SI projects and occasionally lead small project teams under supervision, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
  • Develop functional design specifications, configure PLC/SCADA systems, and perform factory/site testing and commissioning while adhering to standards and best practices.
  • Report progress and issues to the SI Manager and Project Manager; assist in estimating when required.
  • Complete training and development plans, pursue professional membership (e.g., IET), and work toward Chartered Engineer status.
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction, contribute to quality manual updates, and introduce latest engineering practices where appropriate.

At M Group Water we help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. This role will join BGEN - one of the UK's largest multidisciplinary design and build contractors with over 100 years of industry experience. We support clients in the water, power & energy, pharmaceutical, nuclear and food and beverage industries to deliver next generation, value-added engineering solutions.

As a Graduate SI Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to:

A degree in Control Systems Engineering or Electrical Engineering
