Protocol Education is looking for a Graduate SEND Teaching Assistant to join a Newcastle specialist SEND school. You will support pupils with diverse learning needs and work within a dedicated SEND team in school hours.

The role suits psychology, education, health and social care or humanities graduates. A caring, adaptable approach and enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one) are preferred.

Formación

• Degree qualified in any discipline.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Interest in SEND, education, psychology or youth services.
• Ability to remain calm and adaptable in different situations.
• Caring and supportive approach.
• Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one.

Responsabilidades

• Providing targeted 1:1 interventions and learning support.
• Supporting pupils with ASC, ADHD and SEMH needs.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
• Helping students access the curriculum successfully.
• Supporting sensory, communication and social development activities.
• Assisting teachers with classroom preparation and organisation.
