Job summary

EdEx - Education Recruitment is seeking an Unqualified SEN Teaching Assistant for a large secondary school in the London Borough of Redbridge. The role is full-time, long-term with an ASAP start, supporting pupils with SEN to access learning and develop academically and personally.

The successful candidate will join a supportive team, work across year groups, and gain practical experience in SEN, psychology-inspired education, or child-focused professions.

Qualifications

• Must have a good degree from a reputable University.
• Good understanding of SEN is required.
• Experience in a previous role, or personal experience with SEN would be ideal.
• Passionate about supporting children with SEN.
• You must be able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Calm and compassionate nature.

Responsibilities

• Support children with a range of SEN across year groups.
• Work with children with Autism/ASD, ADHD, SEMH and behavioural difficulties.
• Provide dedicated support to access learning and develop academically and personally.
• Join a supportive school environment where you can gain practical experience and make a meaningful difference.
