Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant – Sandwell

Up to £520 per week | Immediate or September 2025 Start | Full-Time

Are you a recent graduate eager to support young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?

Interested in gaining hands-on experience in a welcoming and inclusive secondary school?

We’re working closely with a supportive secondary school in Sandwell, currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately or from September 2025.

This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ lives while laying the groundwork for a future career in education, psychology, or SEN support.

Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant role:

Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN such as autism, ADHD and dyslexia

Support teachers with inclusive lesson delivery and classroom management

Assist students in developing essential skills in literacy, numeracy, and communication

Promote a positive, safe, and encouraging learning environment

Collaborate with SENCOs and teaching staff to implement personalised support strategies

What We’re Looking For:

A 2:1 degree (or higher) in Psychology, Education, Sociology, or a related subject

A genuine passion for supporting secondary-aged students with additional needs

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Empathy, patience, and adaptability to meet individual learning styles

Previous experience in an educational or SEN environment is beneficial but not essential
