Could you see your future as an SEN Teacher, Educational Psychologist or another specialist supporting young people with additional needs?
Want hands-on experience that goes far beyond a conventional Teaching Assistant position?
KPI Education is recruiting a compassionate and ambitious Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Manchester.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a graduate who wants to build a career within SEND, Educational Psychology or specialist education and needs meaningful experience working directly with young people.
You’ll become part of a multidisciplinary environment where education is tailored around the individual, giving you first-hand experience of how specialist professionals work together to help pupils progress.
This Manchester specialist school provides an individualised approach to education for young people who require additional support to thrive.
Success here isn’t always measured by an examination grade.
It can be a pupil communicating a need independently, managing a challenging situation differently, engaging successfully with a lesson or achieving something they previously found impossible.
As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a direct role in those moments.
Your day could involve supporting an individual pupil through their learning programme, delivering a structured intervention, helping with communication and emotional regulation or working alongside specialist staff to implement personalised strategies.
You’ll learn to observe progress, adapt your communication and understand why different approaches work for different young people.
Applications are particularly welcomed from graduates in:
A 2:1 or First-Class degree is highly desirable.
Previous SEND experience is beneficial but not essential. More important is your patience, emotional maturity, resilience, reliability and genuine interest in understanding young people.
If your long-term ambition involves Educational Psychology, SEN teaching, child development or specialist education, relevant experience matters.
This is your opportunity to spend an academic year developing it every day.
