A leading education organization is seeking a passionate support assistant to work with young adults with SEND and SEMH needs in Salford. This full-time role involves providing tailored support, assisting with life skills, and promoting emotional well-being. Are you a Psychology or Education graduate with a passion for supporting young adults with SEND/SEMH?
Do you have a full driving license and business insurance or are willing to obtain it?

The Opportunity:
· In Salford M30
· Full-time role: Monday to Friday
· Start date September – July 2026
· 35 hours per - week term time only
· £480- £530 per week
Step Into Teachingis working in partnership with a specialised Post-16+ unit inSalford, supporting young people withSEND and SEMHneeds (including ASD, ADHD, and anxiety). These students are preparing for adult life, further education, or employment and need tailored guidance, emotional support, and consistency.
As a support assistant, you’ll be working 1:1 and in small groups, focusing on communication, engagement, and life skills. You’ll also be involved in trips offsite and will need to be confident driving between locations as needed.

Step Into Teaching is working in partnership with a specialised Post-16+ unit inSalford, supporting young people withSEND and SEMHneeds (including ASD, ADHD, and anxiety). These students are preparing for adult life, further education, or employment—and need tailored guidance, emotional support, and consistency.
As a support assistant, you’ll be working 1:1 and in small groups, focusing on communication, engagement, and life skills. You’ll also be involved in trips offsite and will need to be confident driving between locations as needed.
