Job summary

KPI Education partners with Leeds secondary schools to recruit Graduate Science Technicians for a November 2026 start. This is a full-time, term-time role based in Leeds, offering valuable practical experience in school science departments.

You will support practical science learning, prepare and manage lab equipment, and help ensure safe, well-stocked laboratories while gaining exposure to teaching environments and administrative tasks.

Qualifications

• Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or related Science is required.
• Experience or familiarity with school or educational settings is desirable.
• Understanding of health and safety in laboratories preferred.

Responsibilities

• Preparing, setting up, and clearing away equipment and materials for practical lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
• Supporting teachers during practical experiments and demonstrations.
• Maintaining a safe, organised, and well-stocked laboratory environment.
• Assisting with ordering, storage, and monitoring of resources, chemicals, and equipment.
• Ensuring materials are stored and handled in accordance with COSHH regulations.
• Conducting routine maintenance and safety checks on laboratory apparatus.
• Supporting departmental administration and resource management.
• Upholding health and safety procedures at all times.
