Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd is seeking a Graduate Science Learning Mentor for a large East London secondary school in Havering. The role offers an opportunity for a recent science graduate to gain valuable classroom experience and work within a dedicated Science department.

You will support students across Key Stages 3 and 4, deliver targeted interventions and work with small groups and individuals to help them achieve their potential. Start date is November 2026.

A high-performing secondary school in East London is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Science Learning Mentor to join its dedicated team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Science graduate considering a future career in teaching or education.

Working closely with the Science department, you will support students across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping to raise attainment, build confidence and encourage a passion for Science. You will deliver targeted interventions, provide in-class support and work with small groups and individual students to help them achieve their full potential.

This role is ideal for graduates looking to gain valuable classroom experience.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will have:

• A degree in Biology, Chemistry, Physics or a related Science subject.
• A genuine passion for education and supporting young people.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to motivate, inspire and build positive relationships with students.
• A proactive, organised and professional approach to work.
• Previous experience working with young people is desirable but not essential.
