Job summary

Hunter Selection is seeking a Graduate Sales Estimator in the United Kingdom. A technical or engineering background supports a role that combines engineering knowledge with customer-facing responsibilities, including quotations, proposals and order follow-ups.

You will receive full training from experienced sales and engineering professionals to build a long-term technical sales career in a growing environment.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent engineering knowledge.
• Enthusiastic, ambitious and eager to develop a successful career in sales.
• Strong communication skills and confidence speaking with customers.
• Commercially aware with an interest in understanding customer needs.
• Organised and capable of managing multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing customer enquiries and understanding requirements.
• Preparing quotations, estimates and proposals.
• Following up quotations via phone and email to convert opportunities into orders.
• Building strong relationships with new and existing customers.
• Supporting customers with product selection and technical queries.
• Identifying new business opportunities through regular customer engagement.
• Maintaining accurate records and managing enquiry pipelines.
• Processing customer orders and associated documentation.
• Working closely with engineering, purchasing and operations teams.
• Supporting exhibitions, customer visits and wider sales activities.

Are you a recent engineering graduate or someone with a technical background looking to kick-start a career in sales?

We're looking for an ambitious, motivated and commercially minded individual to join a growing sales team as a Sales Estimator. This is an excellent opportunity to combine your engineering knowledge with customer-facing responsibilities, developing valuable commercial skills within a specialist engineering environment.

You’re going to receive full training and support from experienced sales and engineering professionals, making this the ideal role for someone who wants to build a long-term career in technical sales.

What You'll Be Doing

• Reviewing customer enquiries and understanding requirements.
• Preparing quotations, estimates and proposals.
• Following up quotations via phone and email to convert opportunities into orders.
• Building strong relationships with new and existing customers.

• £28,000 - £32,000 salary (depending on experience).
• 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
• 36.5-hour working week.
• Monday to Thursday: 8:30am - 5:00pm.
• Friday finish at 1:30pm.
