Are you an electrical engineering graduate with customer-facing experience, looking to step into a hands-on technical role with full training, career progression, and exposure to global engineering projects?

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a globally recognised manufacturer with over 100 years of engineering expertise. The company specialises in high-performance electrical components used in power , transmission, and distribution, and supplies clients across the automation, rail, marine, telecoms, and industrial sectors.

In this office-based role, you'll act as the technical point of contact for incoming customer enquiries. You'll learn how to interpret specifications, design and cost technical solutions, and support customers through the full sales and delivery process. With close support from senior engineers and full training provided, this role is the ideal stepping stone from commercial work into technical engineering.

This role is for someone with an electrical engineering background who's ready to move beyond customer support and build a long-term technical career-with full product training, expert mentoring, a clear development path, and the chance to work on real-world engineering projects for global clients.

The Role:

• Interpret and respond to customer enquiries (phone, email, and in person)




• Design and cost bespoke electrical solutions with full support and training




• Prepare quotations and technical proposals




• Follow up with customers to help secure orders




• Liaise with Engineering, Contracts, and Production teams




• Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders




• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product range and applications




• Occasional and international travel




• Monday to Thursday - 08:15 to 17:00, Friday - 08:15 to 13:00 (37.75 hours/week)

The Person:

• Degree or HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical, Electronic, or Control Engineering
  




• Strong understanding of basic electrical principles (e.g. Ohm's Law, current, voltage, resistance)




• Previous experience in a sales, customer service, or other client-facing role
