Bidwells Rural division is searching for a motivated and ambitious Graduate Rural Surveyor who is looking to join our growing team.

The Rural team at Bidwells manages, consults, and offers strategic advice on over a million acres of farmland and estates across the country, working with some of the UK's top-performing rural businesses and landowners including Cambridge and Oxford colleges, pension funds, charities and companies.

Your Role

As a Graduate Rural Surveyor, You Will Embark On a Journey That Blends Hands-on Experience With Structured Professional Development. From Day One, You'll Get Involved With Everything Including

  • Estate and farm management
  • Property management and maintenance
  • Valuations
  • Landlord and tenant matters for residential, agricultural and commercial properties
  • Drafting lease agreements, carrying out rent reviews, managing tenants' rents
  • Diversification projects
  • Business plans
  • Farm and rural estate agency
  • Renewable energy schemes
  • Grant sourcing
  • Compulsory purchase/utility schemes
  • Farmland investment and development scheme

About You

We’re looking for a graduate who isn’t just technically proficient but also passionate about the rural environment and eager to make a difference. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Cognate degree (MRICS), 2:1 or above
  • Passion for rural property, land, agriculture and the environment
  • Relevant work experience within the rural sector
  • A team player who embraces collaborative activities, takes responsibility and acts with a commercial mind
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Driving licence and access to your own vehicle (if this isn’t possible please highlight this on your application so we can explore options with you)
