Job Description:
An independent and highly specialist executive search firm based in London's financial district. They excel in providing consultancy and retained search services to publicly and privately owned companies across the world. Their particular areas of expertise lie in financial services, FMCG, healthcare, technology and media.
The Role:
Join as an Associate Consultant, on a 3-year rotation programme, learning executive search techniques across different sectors. Ongoing tasks include:
- Attending initial client meeting to understand the role requirements, company culture and expectations for the search
- Work with senior team members to establish the scope of a search, utilising a variety of databases to build a map of relevant sectors and companies
- Speak to market sources to collect relevant diligence on companies and potential candidates
- Make first contact with prospective candidates, understand their relevancy for a role and engage them in the process by advising them on how the opportunity aligns with their career goals
- Meet with candidates to assess experiential and behavioural fit, through competency-based interviewing, tailored to each search
- Produce the longlist, shortlist, and appraisal documentation for clients
- Be a liaison and trusted adviser to both candidates and the client throughout the process
Why we like it:
- Rotational - you’ll get to work in all the different sectors that they work in – this would be in 6-month rotations between the different departments, including TMT, Consumer, Healthcare, Financial Services (Private Equity, Asset Mgmt, Investment banking, Real Estate)
- Project Driven - this is a very research-based and consultative role. You may only contact 3 or 4 candidates per project you work on. It’s all about finding the right person for the role. Understanding exactly what the client is looking for is integral
- Structured Progression -you’ll be getting into a senior associate role in 3 years, principal in 6 and partner in 10/11 years
- Salary - £36k salary + bonus (OTE £40k-£45k)
- Benefits -private healthcare, 50% off theatre tickets. £2.5K allowance, for conferences and networking, £600 for a mobile phone, and an accredited executive search qualification
Requirements:
- Degree grade (Or equivalent) 2:1 or 1st
- Strong research capabilities with a high level of attention to detail
- Great communication skills (written and oral)
