Job summary

Stantec is offering a 2027 Graduate Programme for a Graduate River & Coastal Civil Engineer in Reading or London. You will join a large, diverse Infrastructure team and contribute to projects across the UK, focusing on flood risk, hydrology, hydraulics and water management.

You will gain structured graduate training, mentorship toward chartership (CEng, CSci or CEnv) and hands-on experience in designing flood alleviation schemes, river restoration and climate resilience strategies, with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (required).
• Interest in flood risk, hydrology, hydraulics and water management.
• Willingness to pursue professional chartership (CEng/CSci/CEnv).

Responsibilities

• Support detailed design of flood alleviation schemes, river and waterways structures and coastal protection works.
• Contribute to river restoration, natural flood management and climate resilience strategies.
• Produce hydrology and hydraulic assessments and technical reports.
• Assist senior staff with programme and project management and conduct site visits.
