Job Opportunity: Graduate RF Hardware Engineer

We are currently working with an industry-leading satellite communications company based in Central London, seeking a Graduate RF Hardware Engineer to join their experienced design team.

Role Responsibilities:

• Design, simulate, and realize RF (L-Band to microwave) circuits, including RF and schematic design and PCB layout of Ku/Ka Antenna Land Mobile Platforms.
• Assist with hardware designs by defining requirements with the systems team, generating hardware specifications, schematic entry, PCB layout, commissioning, verification, and supporting integration into platforms.
• Utilize industry-standard tools such as ADS, HFSS for design calculations and RF simulations.

Essential Qualifications:

• A good first or upper 2nd Class degree (BEng/MEng) in Electronic/Electrical Engineering from a leading university.
• Knowledge of RF (to microwave frequencies), from requirements capture, specification, characterization, simulation to systems integration and debugging. Competent in using ADS/HFSS for circuit design and simulation.
• Interest in the design, analysis, and characterization of circuits involving PLLs, frequency synthesizers, modulators, demodulators, mixers, discrete filters, rat-races, and integrating them into board-level designs.
• Understanding of key performance parameters.
• Familiarity with schematic capture tools such as Altium Designer and industry-standard simulation tools.
• Interest in developing and implementing test plans and procedures for RF/microwave circuits and mixed-signal products.
• Knowledge of product design for EMC and DFM/DFT for volume manufacturing.
• Practical experience with test equipment such as scopes, spectrum analyzers, PNAs, VNAs, signal generators, and power meters.
