Filtronic delivers cutting-edge RF and mmWave solutions that power the future of high-frequency communications. From satellite links to next-generation sensing systems, we design and manufacture high-performance components and subsystems—including SSPAs, filters, and transceivers—ensuring seamless connectivity and precision at the highest frequencies.

Working with a team of experienced RF, electronics, and mechanical engineers, you will contribute to the design of radio frequency products with responsibility for analogue and digital circuit design and schematic capture, ensuring that electrical performance, quality, cost, and manufacturability requirements are met.

Requirements

You will be trained, mentored, and supported by senior engineers to:

  • Contribute to the design and development of new microwave and mmWave communication products following established engineering practices.
  • Support the engineering team by involvement in design reviews, manufacture of prototype hardware, device/module characterization, and providing technical feedback and recommendations throughout the product design cycle.
  • Become familiar with using RF CAD tools including Keysight ADS & EMPro and Cadence MWO, as well as mechanical and PCB design tools such as Draftsight, Solidworks & Altium Designer.
  • Potentially specialize in areas including MMIC design, RF sub-modules, RF systems, embedded electronics, PCB schematic capture/layout, and mechanical design.
  • Define product qualification and production test requirements, and generate internal, supplier, and customer technical documentation.
  • Liaise with external component suppliers and manufacturing facilities, identifying suitable devices and manufacturing capabilities for new products.
  • Support production by reviewing live test data and making recommendations to improve yields and test efficiencies.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience:
  • Candidates with a relevant HND, Degree, or MSc qualification (or equivalent) in Electronics/Communications Engineering, Embedded Electronics, Maths, or Physics will be considered.
  • Computer literate (MS applications), including advanced Excel skills.
