Job summary

University of Exeter invites applications for a Graduate Research Assistant role on the Black in the UK Science Pipeline Project. This part-time, fixed-term post (0.9 FTE) runs from 1 November 2026 and is funded by UKRI NERC until 30 November 2028. Salary is £34,630 on Grade E.

Job-share is welcome, and the role is subject to a DBS check. The post is within the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences and will support data collection, analysis and evaluation for a national project focusing on equity

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent qualification/experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge in research methods and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Assist with data collection and analysis.
• Carry out literature searches for a quantitative survey.
• Collate and prepare evaluation materials, organise files and update databases.
• Coordinate transcription and coding of data and archive qualitative materials for content analysis.
• Manage the evaluation calendar and assist with dissemination of a national survey and analysis of results.
