Job summary

SRG are partnering with a leading FMCG manufacturer to recruit a Quality Technician for their Harrogate site. The role focuses on laboratory testing (about 70%) and QA tasks in the factory, including auditing and walkarounds.

The ideal candidate is a recent graduate in Biological Sciences or Chemistry, with or without industry experience, and eager to start a career in a multi-faceted quality role. Training is provided and full support is available.

Qualifications

• Degree in Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or similar.
• Willing to work in shift patterns including weekends.
• Strong attention to detail and good communication.
• Interest in FMCG manufacturing is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing using various methods.
• Carry out microbiology testing: plating, filtration, colony ID.
• Conduct wet chemistry and sensory testing.
• Support QA tasks and internal audits.
• Maintain the on-site QMS and assist with external audits.
• Follow safety procedures COSHH and quality standards.
