IMT Resourcing Solutions Ltd. is partnered with an established aerospace manufacturer in Cheltenham to recruit a motivated Graduate Engineer for the Quality Engineering team.

This permanent role offers a four-day week and a salary up to £30k, with training and development to progress into a Quality Engineer position. You will support quality activities, learn aerospace processes, and work with experienced engineers to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical/manufacturing/materials engineering or closely related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret technical information and apply logical thinking.
• Excellent communication across engineering and production teams.
• Proactive attitude and eagerness to learn in a manufacturing environment.
• Interest in aerospace manufacturing and quality systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day quality engineering activities in aerospace manufacturing.
• Learn about manufacturing processes, materials and specifications.
• Assist investigations into defects and technical issues.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify improvements.
• Develop knowledge of AS9100, Nadcap and aerospace quality standards.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
• Assist with audits, inspections and quality documentation.
• Analyze data to spot trends and improvement opportunities.

Graduate Engineer - Aerospace Manufacturing
Cheltenham - Permanent - Monday to Thursday (4 day week) -Salary up to £30k

The Opportunity

Are you a recent Engineering Graduate looking to kick-start your career within aerospace manufacturing?
IMT Resourcing is working with an established aerospace manufacturing business in Cheltenham that is looking to recruit a motivated and technically minded Graduate Engineer to join its Quality Engineering team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong engineering foundation who wants to develop practical experience in a technically challenging manufacturing environment.

You don't need previous Quality Engineering experience. The business is looking for someone with the right attitude, analytical ability and willingness to learn, with training and development provided to help you progress into a fully competent Quality Engineer.

You'll work closely with experienced engineering and quality professionals, gaining exposure to specialist aerospace manufacturing processes, quality systems and continuous improvement activities.

What You'll Be Doing

• Supporting day-to-day quality engineering activities within a busy aerospace manufacturing environment.
• Learning about specialist manufacturing processes, materials and engineering specifications.
• Assisting with investigations into manufacturing defects and technical issues.
• Working alongside production and engineering teams to identify improvements.
• Developing knowledge of aerospace quality standards, including AS9100 and Nadcap.
• Supporting root cause analysis and corrective action activities.

What We're Looking For - Essential:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
• Strong technical understanding and an interest in how manufacturing processes work.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret technical information and apply logical thinking.
• Excellent attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Good communication skills and the confidence to work with different engineering and production teams.
• A proactive, enthusiastic approach to developing new skills.

Desirable, but not essential:

• Industrial placement, internship or some practical manufacturing experience.
• Exposure to engineering drawings, CAD or manufacturing equipment.
• Understanding of materials, machining, heat treatment or testing processes.
• University projects involving engineering design, manufacturing or technical problem-solving.
• Basic awareness of quality systems or continuous improvement techniques.

Previous aerospace or Quality Engineering experience is not required. Graduates with the right technical aptitude and genuine enthusiasm for manufacturing are encouraged to apply.
