Job summary

Manucomm Recruitment Ltd is hiring a Graduate QA Assistant for a food manufacturing site in Ditcheat, Somerset. You will join a growing technical team and gain hands-on experience in quality assurance, HACCP, and quality systems while supporting production compliance.

Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will learn across QA documentation, audits, microbiological testing, and continuous improvement projects; ideal for recent Food Science or Food Technology graduates seeking a career in

Qualifications

Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition or related subject.
Strong interest in food safety, quality assurance, or technical roles.
Knowledge of HACCP or food hygiene principles (academic or practical).
Excellent organisation, communication, and IT skills.
Proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn within a food manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Monitor food production and manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.
Complete and maintain QA documentation, records, and traceability systems.
Assist with internal audits, hygiene inspections, and GMP checks.
Support customer complaint investigations and non-conformance reporting.
Assist with microbiological testing and quality checks.
Contribute to continuous improvement and product development projects.
