Job summary

United Utilities is offering a three-year Graduate Project Engineer programme in Kendal, supporting a portfolio of capital projects across the North West. You will work with experienced engineers and multidisciplinary teams, gaining hands-on experience from design to delivery while rotating across placements.

The scheme develops your skills in project engineering, coordination, and document management, with an accredited development route and opportunities to progress into leadership roles.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2:1 accredited undergraduate engineering degree or equivalent (MEng/MSc preferred).

Responsibilities

• Support experienced project engineers to develop and manage engineering inputs throughout a project.
• Coordinate technical information from internal teams, consultants, specialists and contractors.
• Contribute to preparation of engineering construction documentation, technical reports and project records.
• Develop understanding of engineering design, processes and procedures across water/wastewater systems.
• Support embedding innovation, standardisation and sustainable thinking into project delivery.
