Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is seeking a Graduate/Trainee Project Engineer (Manufacturing) in the Middleton/Manchester area. The role offers full training, long-term progression opportunities, and a clearly defined pathway into a fully-fledged Project Engineer.

You will support Design Engineering with project planning, CAD drawing production, reporting, and coordination with the Contract Manager, with some customer-site visits and a flexible Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• Graduate/trainee level role requiring an engineering-related degree or equivalent qualification.
• Ability to assist with project planning, timelines and progress tracking.
• Familiarity with 2D/3D CAD drawing production and project reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage project timelines, progress and records.
• Assist with the production and review of 2D and 3D CAD drawings.
• Produce project reports and provide updates to the Contract Manager.
• Occasional travel to customer sites.
• Adhere to the stated working hours and support a flexible environment.
