Kickstart your Building Surveying career with our comprehensive two-year program. Designed specifically for graduates, this program provides the support and experience needed to successfully navigate the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) via the Building Surveying pathway. As part of our Real Estate department, you’ll spend two years immersed within our building surveying teams, gaining hands‑on experience in a wide range of building surveying disciplines. This includes exposure to dilapidations, technical due diligence, development monitoring, and project management, working with a variety of property types and sectors. The program may also present opportunities for international work across Europe.

As a Graduate Building Surveyor, you will be responsible for a range of tasks, including but not limited to:

Conducting building inspections and surveys.

Preparing detailed reports on building condition and defects.

Assisting with the preparation of cost estimates.

Communicating with clients and stakeholders.

Supporting project teams in the delivery of building projects.

Qualifications

Academic Credentials: A RICS‑accredited degree or Masters conversion course in Building Surveying (achieved or on track for a 2:1 minimum).

Other Requirements

• This role is primarily office‑based, and colleagues are expected to work from the office for the majority of the working week.
• Candidates must have the legal right to work in the UK.
• For some regional roles, travel to client sites may be required. Where access to client locations is limited by public transport, a full driving licence and access to transport may be beneficial.
• To be considered for roles in the Defence arena, you will need to pass both a Baseline Personnel Security Standard check and UKSV SC clearance. This process will begin once you’ve accepted an offer and confirmed your willingness to undergo the checks.

SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
