Job summary

Menzies LLP invites graduates to join the ACA Programme in Audit & Assurance at our Solent Office. You will gain commercial insight into how organisations operate and face challenges, with responsibilities expanding as you progress and potential to supervise trainees by your second year.

Based in an Audit & Assurance service line, you’ll review financial statements, challenge operations, and help improve internal processes. A 2:2 degree and multiple GCSEs/A-levels are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2:2 undergraduate degree in any discipline.
• Minimum of 2 x A levels and one other A level or equivalent.
• 5 GCSEs grades A*-C or 9-4, including Maths and English.
• Ability to absorb new information and adapt quickly.
• Clear and thoughtful written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working with numbers and demonstrating strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Gain commercial insights into how organisations operate within Audit & Assurance.
• Progress through the programme with potential to supervise trainees by year two.
• Carry out risk-based reviews of financial statements to ensure accuracy and transparency.
• Support process improvements and communicate financial information clearly to stakeholders.

The ACA Programme

You will be based in our Audit & Assurance service line where you'll gain valuable commercial insights into how organisations operate and the challenges they face. Your responsibilities will grow as you progress through the programme, with the potential to supervise other trainees by your second year.

What does our Audit & Assurance team do?

Our Audit & Assurance teams carry out a detailed, risk-based review of a company’s financials to determine whether the financial statements are an accurate reflection.

We look to challenge the financial operations of a company and help to improve the internal processes of a business. This is critical in today’s business world as its financial statements are one of only a small number of documents that a company will place into the public domain, and a quality audit gives confidence in what is delivered to all stakeholders.

What do we look for?
