Graduate Product Marketing Engineer

The Product Marketing team within SPTS are involved in various aspects of the marketing function including supporting systems sales efforts and setting product roadmaps. Starting with qualifying the sales opportunity, answering questions from the sales team/customer, responding to customer specifications and visit customer sites to progress sales prospects. In the factory, alongside engineering, product marketing arrange and manage customer demos, and when circumstances allow, host live demos with customers on site. Through interaction with various resources including the customer base, suppliers and analysts the product marketing team develop an understanding of our markets and position within those markets aiming to contribute to the overall product development and planning processes. For product development activities, the team create and prioritise roadmap targets. This involves setting the scene for the division to follow using the KLA Product Life Cycle (PLC) process. Product Marketing’s responsibilities don’t stop after the sales process has been completed. The team assist the account teams providing updates on product development, market trends and acting as the customer representative in any factory-based work. There may also be opportunities to work with Corporate Marketing on the creation of promotional materials and attendance (virtual or in person) at trade shows/technical conferences. This position may also involve occasional international travel.

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (2:1) in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or Material Science. Applicants with a Master’s Degree or prior experience of studies within the semiconductor industry would be desirable but certainly not a must. A good acquaintance with SW tools (MS Office especially PowerPoint, Excel and Co-Pilot) would be advantageous.
