Job summary

Ballards is offering a graduate Private Client Tax Associate role for 2027. Worcester / Birmingham with a three-year funded training contract and hybrid working.

You’ll learn personal tax implications for individuals, families and trusts, and work with real clients from day one while studying toward professional tax qualification. You don’t need prior tax experience; a 2:1 degree in any discipline and strong communication, attention to detail and people skills are valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2:1 degree in any discipline.
• No prior tax experience required.
• Interest in tax and advisory work.

Responsibilities

• Work on live Private Client Tax matters for individuals and trusts.
• Assist in preparing personal Self Assessment tax returns and computations.
• Build knowledge of Income Tax, CGT and Inheritance Tax with support.
• Interact with clients to gather information and develop relationships.
• Support compliance and advisory work while training.
