Job summary

1st Central is seeking a Graduate Pricing Analyst to apply mathematical and data skills to insurance pricing. You’ll work with telematics data, build models, and generate insights that influence pricing decisions across the business.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2.1 degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or a closely related discipline.
• Strong mathematical foundation demonstrated by top grades at A-Level or equivalent qualification.
• Hands-on coding experience with Python, R, or SQL is highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Write efficient, well-documented code to create modelling datasets and generate reports using Python, SAS, SQL, Excel or similar tools.
• Develop innovative analytical and visualization methods using Power BI to drive pricing decisions.
• Produce monthly reports using Excel and PowerPoint.
• Assess new data sources to derive predictive features for claims experience.
• Maintain and improve predictive models with Python, Emblem, Radar and other software.
• Collaborate with pricing teams to establish best practices in pricing and modelling.
