£24,000 - £32,000 per annum + comprehensive benefits package. Location: Newport, Gwent.

Graduate Predictive & Test Engineer

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Based in the Design and Development team, your main focus will be on product simulation and testing.
  • This involves simulating the mechanical behavior of components using Ansys.
  • Operating and maintaining several test rigs.
  • Using CFD to simulate hot gas and liquid flow in fluid transfer components.
  • Supporting design decisions for new products based on simulation and test results.
  • Interpreting experimental performance data to aid prediction and correlation.
  • Occasional travel to customer sites.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a similar field.
  • Good knowledge of fluid mechanics.
  • Experience with FEA and CFD is advantageous.

Benefits Package:

  • Starting salary of £24,000, rising with 6-monthly appraisals over the course of the Graduate scheme.
