Graduate Polymer Chemist
Location: Midlands
Salary: From £25,000 | Hours: 36.25/week | Start: ASAP

I am seeking seeking a motivated Polymer Chemist to join a fantastic team in a Polymer Additives Laboratory. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically sound chemist ready to grow into a specialist in rubber technology.
Key Responsibilities:
Synthesize novel rubber accelerators and develop polymer compounds for diverse applications.
Conduct lab research, testing, and analysis to support product development, production, and quality control.
Perform analytical and physical testing of rubber materials; interpret results and report findings.
Evaluate new raw materials and assist with process optimization.
Maintain compliance with safety standards and laboratory protocols.
Training & Development:
Rubber industry experience not required—training provided, including Diploma in Rubber Technology & Science.
Progression to Senior Polymer Chemist with expertise in regulations, compounding, vulcanization, and industry standards.
Future opportunities to represent Robac globally, publish technical papers, and support strategic growth.
Requirements:
Degree (or equivalent) in Applied Chemistry, Polymer Science, or Elastomer Technology.
Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
Willingness to learn and adapt in a technically evolving environment.
