Graduate Planner

Location: Congleton

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a leading land promoter in their search for a Graduate Planner to join their growing and well-respected planning team based in Congleton.

This is an exciting opportunity for a recent planning graduate with a passion for residential development and a keen eye for strategy to kickstart their career with a nationally recognised company. Our client specialises in securing planning permissions for major residential schemes across the UK, playing a key role in tackling the housing shortage.

As a Graduate Planner, you'll work alongside an experienced and supportive team of planning professionals, gaining hands-on experience in all aspects of the planning process - from site appraisals and planning applications to appeals and local plan representations.

What You'll Be Doing:

Assisting in the preparation and submission of planning applications and supporting documents

*

Researching planning policy and contributing to site promotion strategies

*

Helping to prepare reports, planning statements, and appeal documentation

*

Liaising with local authorities, consultants, and stakeholders

*

Supporting the planning team in the delivery of residential development projects

What We're Looking For:

A degree (or working towards a postgraduate qualification) in Town Planning or a related subject

A good understanding of the UK planning system
