Job Title: Graduate Planner

Location: Bristol

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a leading UK property consultancy in their search for a Graduate Planner to join their thriving Planning team in Bristol.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the city's largest and most successful planning teams, working across a diverse and exciting range of projects spanning residential, commercial, retail, regeneration, energy, leisure, and community sectors.

About the Role:

As a Graduate Planner, you'll support the wider team in delivering high-quality planning advice and services to both private and public sector clients. You'll work on planning applications, appraisals, appeals, and representations-developing core technical and client-facing skills within a fast-paced, professional consultancy environment.

Responsibilities:

Assist with the preparation and submission of planning applications and appeals

*

Research and analyse planning policy to inform strategies and appraisals

*

Prepare and present planning appraisals, reports, and statements

*

Support post-submission negotiations and attend meetings

*

Draft representations to emerging planning policy documents and local plans

*

Attend networking events and actively contribute to business growth

What We're Looking For:

A strong understanding of the UK planning system

*

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

*

Ability to manage multiple deadlines with attention to detail

*

Confident with Microsoft Office and planning-related IT tools

*

A self-starter with a positive attitude and commercial awareness

Strong research and analytical skills

*

Ideally on track for or currently working toward RTPI accreditation
