Are you looking to gain experience in the education sector and want to support students pastorally?


A fantastic opportunity at a Birmingham College is looking for aspiring teachers/educational psychologists who really want to support students' academic learning.


The opportunity:
  • Birmingham College
  • Full-time role, Monday - Friday
  • August start for the 25/26 academic year
  • Interviews taking place in June!
  • £480 - £520 per week – term time only
  • Chance to gain invaluable classroom experience
  • The opportunity to be part of a large graduate programme across the UK

The Role:
  • To contribute to the design and delivery of an engaging group and 1:1 tutorial curriculum to groups of students to encourage personal development, growth and a positive transition into adulthood.
  • To provide advice and guidance on ongoing support for students who are experiencing a range of pastoral issues including supporting students with safeguarding and mental health concerns.
  • To monitor the academic performance and progress of students and provide support to staff and students to ensure that students meet their full potential.
  • To work closely with students, their parents/carers, and colleagues to ensure the students maintain good punctuality, attendance and behaviour in all aspects of their studies and meet assignment and other agreed deadlines.
  • To assist in the personal and social development of students by providing appropriate guidance and support, help with time management and organisation of their studies.
  • To actively participate in the pastoral team quality activities to ensure that all delivery is of a consistently high quality.
