Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking a Graduate Pastoral Teaching Assistant to join a school in Hexham, supporting pupils with learning, behaviour, confidence and wellbeing. A recent graduate with an interest in psychology, education, mental health or SEND will fit well.

You’ll work 1:1 and in small groups, helping students communicate, build confidence and manage emotions, while collaborating with teachers and pastoral staff in a supportive school environment.

Qualifications

• Recent graduates welcome to apply.
• Experience working with children or young people is advantageous.
• Willingness to complete safeguarding training.

Responsibilities

• Assist pupils one-to-one or in small groups.
• Support learning, behaviour, confidence and wellbeing.
• Help pupils manage emotions and develop positive relationships.
