Job description

This fast-growing technology company has built one of the UK's leading marketplace platforms by combining brilliant customer experience with smart technology and operational excellence. As the business continues to grow, they are looking for ambitious grads to join the Operations team. You'll gain exposure to almost every part of the business, working alongside experienced colleagues who will give you genuine responsibility from an early stage.

This is the kind of company where good ideas are encouraged, initiative is recognised and you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact.

The role

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who wants to build a career in operations within a growing technology business.

You’ll begin by spending your first couple of months in the Customer Experience team, learning how the business works from the ground up. By speaking to customers and suppliers every day, you’ll quickly develop an understanding of the challenges, processes and moving parts that keep the business running.

From there, you’ll move into a broader operations role, taking ownership of projects across the business.

Depending on the team’s priorities and your strengths, you could find yourself:

  • Improving customer and supplier journeys
  • Using AI to automate manual processes
  • Analysing operational data to identify trends and opportunities
  • Improving internal processes and systems
  • Supporting onboarding and retention initiatives
  • Taking ownership of new operational projects as the business grows

No two graduates follow exactly the same path. The role evolves quickly and offers plenty of opportunities to shape your own career.

The team is ambitious, collaborative and genuinely enjoys solving problems. People are trusted to take ownership early, contribute ideas and get stuck into meaningful work. You’ll be supported throughout but also given the freedom to make decisions and improve the way things are done. It's an excellent environment for someone who enjoys learning, thrives on variety and wants to understand how a successful technology business really operates.

What you're good at
  • A genuine interest in how businesses operate
  • Friendly, empathetic and naturally customer focused
  • Curious and always looking for better ways of doing things
  • Organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities
  • A strong communicator, both written and verbal
  • Excited by technology and interested in how AI can improve the way businesses work
  • Looking for a long-term career in business operations
Bonus points for
  • Customer-facing experience through hospitality, retail, events or similar
  • Experience leading a society, sports club or side project
  • An interest in AI and process improvement
  • Evidence of taking ownership of projects or initiatives
  • An entrepreneurial mindset and a willingness to get stuck in
