The nurse administers patient care within a hospital or inpatient/observation setting, providing active treatment for injuries, illnesses, medical conditions, or post-intervention assessment.
Essential Functions
Education/Training: Graduate from an accredited nursing school, with a temporary license from the Alabama Board of Nursing, eligible for NCLEX, and meeting competency requirements.
Licensure/Certification: Must obtain and maintain licensure as a Registered Nurse in Alabama or via NLC multistate license. Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification required; ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC certifications may be required depending on the unit, with NRP necessary for NICU.
