Job description

A well-established food manufacturing business is looking for a creative and enthusiastic Graduate NPD Technologist to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a genuine passion for food and innovation, ready to take the next step in their career.

You'll be involved in every stage of the product development process, from initial concept through to launch. Working closely with the wider team, you'll play a vital role in bringing new ideas to life ensuring they meet high standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Each day will be hands-on and varied. You'll prepare samples in the development kitchen, manage ingredients, and keep things running smoothly and efficiently. Coordinating sample requests, packing and labelling and arranging deliveries will all be part of your routine. You'll also attend tastings and internal meetings, working cross-functionally with different departments and suppliers.

Supporting production trials will be a key part of your role. You'll gather and report data, help manage budgets and contribute to costing and customer submissions. It's a fast-paced environment that calls for strong organisation, attention to detail, and a proactive, collaborative approach.

To succeed in this role, you'll need a degree in a food-related subject and at least a year's experience in product development or technical. Excellent communication skills, a commercial mindset and a flexible, can-do attitude are essential. A full UK driving licence is essential.

In return, you'll receive 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays (pro-rata), with the option to purchase additional leave, competitive pension and private medical benefits. You'll have access to an employee discount platform and benefit from flexible working arrangements that include a mix of office and remote working. Most importantly, you'll be joining a supportive, collaborative team culture where your ideas and contributions will be valued.
