Job description

I have an impressive opportunity for a Graduate Metrology Engineer to join an established development business that provides software and inspection solutions to an assortment of industries, including Aerospace, Automotive, Medical, and Power Generation. This is an exciting time to join the business, and this opportunity has been newly created to support them with their growth plans for 2025/2026. You will be working with an experienced team where they all work together and discuss solutions and ideas as a team. You will be a very important cog in the wheel and your opinion counts. They are offering an impressive salary package circa to £30k to £35k (dependent on experience) with flexible working options and much more.

Key Responsibilities

  • Optimise and develop measurement processes, enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Assist and perform precision measurements and analysis of components and assembly products.
  • Design measurement systems tailored to specific project needs.
  • Analyse data using 3D Inspection Software.
  • Work collaboratively as a team on projects in the Aerospace, Power, and Medical Industry.
  • Contribute to product development processes including prototyping work, design, and production.
  • Assist in Root Cause Investigations by developing corrective/preventative actions.
  • Work to industry standard accreditations (AS9100, ISO 13485, IATF 16949).
  • Liaise with customers and suppliers to maintain quality and technical integrity.

Qualifications

  • Degree qualified in an engineering discipline.
  • Must have some experience within their degree or after in Optical and CMM systems, preferably GOM, Zeiss, PolyWorks, or MCOSMOS.
  • Excellent communication skills.
