A well-respected specialist school near Guildford is looking for a Graduate Mental Health Teaching Assistant to support children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The students range between 10 and 16 years old and face a range of social, emotional, and mental health needs, and challenges including trauma, anxiety, OCD, and behavioural issues. The students therefore need a Graduate Mental Health Teaching Assistant who will be dedicated to being a consistent role model, is committed to building strong relationships, is empathetic, and up for a challenge!

The ideal Graduate Mental Health Teaching Assistant must be open-minded, resilient, and knowledgeable about mental health. The perfect candidate will have experience with SEN children and/or adults in any setting. Graduates in Psychology, Criminology, or Counselling would also be perfect for this position. This Guildford-based school is located in the beautiful Surrey Hills.

Details:
  1. Start date: ASAP
  2. Salary: £80-£100 per day, Mon-Fri, 8.30am-4pm, term time only
  3. Training: Excellent on-site training, support, and CPD is provided to ensure safeguarding of all students
  4. Eligibility: You MUST have the right to work in the UK in order to apply - no Visa sponsorship
  5. Location: Must be able to travel to Guildford
